How to use this build planner

1. Set your character level and Places of Power to see available ability points.
2. Allocate points in Combat, Signs, Alchemy, and General skill trees.
3. Assign learned skills to active slots and configure mutagens.
4. Switch to Equipment to try swords, armor, glyphs, and runewords.
5. Open Stats for approximate vitality, DPS, armor, and sign intensity.
6. Use Share build to copy a URL that restores your full configuration.

Patch 4.0 skill rules

The Next-Gen update changed several progression rules. This calculator uses Patch 4.0 values: most skills cap at three ranks; tier unlocks in Combat, Signs, and Alchemy require 6, 12, and 18 branch points respectively (down from 8, 20, and 30); General skills stay single-rank; Steady Aim is limited to one rank; and twelve ability slots unlock as Geralt levels up.
